Return Policy Details: Zones & Costs

At Shop4trac, we strive for a fair and transparent return process. While we would love to make everything free, processing returns involves significant logistical costs. Below we explain exactly how we work and what rates apply as of January 1, 2026.

Why do we charge return and handling costs?

As soon as your package arrives at our warehouse, a careful process begins. We do this to ensure the quality of our inventory:

  1. Receipt & Sorting: Packages are placed directly on a sorting table upon arrival. Because handwritten notes or missing information often cause delays, we link this to our digital return portal.

  1. Origin Inspection: An employee physically inspects the product. We not only look at the condition of the item, but also review the chat history. This way we understand exactly why the product is being returned and whether, for example, technical advice is needed.

  1. Assessment & Tickets:

- Is everything in order? Then the refund follows.
- Is there damage, uncertainty about an exchange, or a warehouse error? Then we create a ticket. We will contact you to find the best solution (for example, sending the correct product via our Fast-lane).

  1. Transport Costs: Carriers such as DPD and UPS charge us significantly for return shipments. "Collecting" a package is a costly, less efficient route for them compared to delivering.

Please note: Our team works hard to complete this process as quickly as possible. We ask for your understanding for the processing time of up to 14 business days.

Handling Fee per Product (Excl. VAT)

In addition to transport costs, we charge a handling fee per item for the physical inspection, repackaging, and administrative processing. This amount depends on the value of the product:

- Product value < € 10.00: € 1.00 per item
- Product value € 10.00 - € 100.00: € 2.50 per item
- Product value € 101.00 - € 200.00: € 10.00 per item
- Product value € 201.00 - € 450.00: € 12.50 per item
- Product value > € 450.00: € 15.00 per item

Calculation Example (Customer Error)

Suppose you return one starter motor worth € 120.00 (excl. VAT) from Belgium (Zone 2) because it was ordered incorrectly:

- Zone 2 costs: € 9.00
- Handling Fee: € 10.00 (falls in the € 101 - € 200 category)
- Total deduction: € 19.00 excl. VAT

We only pass on these costs to keep our selling prices low for customers who order the right product the first time. Avoid costs: Always measure the teeth of your starter motor or the diameter of your piston before ordering!
